I co-directed this film with my good friend Gábor Reisz. We were asked to shoot a concert video for the band Mordái, as their live show couldn’t happen due to Covid. We were bored with the idea of simply filming them play, so we decided to add elements of a narrative, film-noir-inspired story—while keeping the performances live and shot in one take. The abandoned Gellért Hotel, where we filmed, was just as eerie as the film shows.
